Hamilton Island

For the past few days we have been in Hamilton Island.  It was really fun there but we also had some bad weather.  Well, anyways, first we just arrived and settled in at our amazing apartment that had a flat-screen-TV, and the best part about Hamilton Island is, well, actually there are two things:  1. We got to ride around in a golf cart (which they called a buggy) instead of a car (comment from Micah).  2. We got to go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef which was amazing.  So that's it from Hamilton Island. Bye!

Featherdale Wildlife Park visit

Today we went to the wildlife park, Featherdale Wildlife Park.  We saw a bunch of cool animals.   Like, for example, kangaroos, wallabies, emus, dingos, and I will have a few pictures showing some.  My mom and I had a passport and we put stamps when we went to certain places.  And that's all I want to say so just wait for the photos and videos.  Bye now!
This is an echidna.  It's a porcupine except its a marsupial.

This is me with a koala, petting it.

That's a mother kangaroo with a baby joey in her pouch.

This is a wallaby, another marsupial.

That is an emu eating its passion fruit, mango, and other tropical fruits.

My Second Post in Australia

Well, a few days ago we moved to a new house.  It has this cute little dog named Ruby.  And Sabrina, if you’re reading this, it’s not as cute as Canella.  Anyway, we’re having a fun time at that house.
We went to this really funny play where it had an Oy Pad making a joke on the iPad, and it was about Purim.  You had to know about all the fairy tales to understand it.
The next day we went to a Purim carnival where I got my face painted with cute little rugby balls.  Rugby is a sport they play in Australia.  They sort of look like footballs.
That's me and my rugby ball.

We went to a tea with my parents’ old friends.  Old friends… is a song.
Then in the morning we went to the Olympic Stadium.  We went to the Aquatic Centre where they had this FUN water park.  There was a HUGE H U G E GIANT G I A N T bucket at the top of the place.  Now every time it filled up, it poured down and everybody got SOAKED.  It was SO FUN!
That's me in the pool. Everybody is waiting for the bucket to drop down on them.

That's the pool that people swam in during the Olympics.

That's just a picture of the bucket.
Then we went to have dinner at my parents’ friend’s house and I made a friend.  My brother made a list of ELEVEN games for us to play.  They were kinda fun but it’s all fun and games until somebody gets hurt.  P.S. Somebody got hurt.
After that we went to bed.  In the morning we went to the Sydney Fish Market.  It’s one of the biggest fish markets in the world.
Now we are home typing up this blog post.  But before we did this, we did homework, argh!  My mom made me do math and reading.
After this we are going to go get treats at the BEST chocolate place in the whole wide world, it seems to me…

I love Australia

We had a good time in Australia the first few days.  The first day we were in the airport for a long time.  Then we had dinner with some friends.  We are staying at their house.  The next day we woke up and went to Sydney and saw a few different sights like the Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge.

We went to the Customs House and ran a lap around fake Sydney. There was a map under the floor that we ran on. It was a bit mini.  (Note from Karen - it was a model of the downtown area of Sydney.)  Then we got on a ferry to Manly.  Manly was a fun fun city (note from Karen - it's a suburb).  In Manly we went to this place called Oceanworld which is where you see the underwater and you see things like a shark and a sea turtle.  You can also do a shark dive extreme where you feed sharks.  But we didn't do that.  Then we went to the beach and saw some weird jellyfish lying on the sand.  My dad has a picture of it but it is on the other computer.

Then we got some yummy desserts and then we went home.

The next day, first we went to another aquarium called the Sydney Aquarium which had a lot of legos in it. There were lego sculptures of at least 50,000 legos.  The sculputres were of Poseiden, the Greek God, a lego shark hanging above us and there was a pirate ship too.

Then we got on a ferry to Cockatoo Island which is a very cool place and you are about to learn why.  At first I thought Cockatoo Island was just some gimmick, but I learned something.  I learned that Australia used to be a prison.  And I learned that there were these punishment cells that if you ever had to go in those punishment cells they'd be bad because those punishment cells they have rats in them and as soon as the doors close and you get your dinner the rats come.  It's not pleasant when the rats come. They eat the bread.

Then we went on a ferry back to Circular Quay (which is pronounced "key"), then we went home.  Then we had dinner at a Kosher restaurant called Katzy's.  And then we went home.

So today we went to Bondi Beach which is famous for its big waves.  The sand felt like flour and dough.  Very soft.  Then it started raining on us and I froze.  Luckily, I managed to get ice cream 'cause it was so good.  You know, always gotta get dessert!  So, then we went back home and went to Shabbat services.

And that was the first post in Australia for you.

Fiji is my first post

Today was a fun day.
First, I woke up at 9:30 your time, but it was 6:30 AM in Fiji.  Then we went to the beach and saw a few things like a water snake.   Then we went to Robinson Crusoe Island.  Robinson Crusoe is a book character who is stranded on an island with his family and needs to get off.
We took a boat to the island, and there was singing to greet us.  Then we watched a coconut being opened and drank the juice and ate the flesh straight out of the coconut.  Then we hung out on hammocks.  Then we watched a spectacular fire dancing show, and I will show you that in this post.  Then we went on a jungle bush walk with a crazy “medicine man.”  Then we did the International Crab Racing.  My parents won!  Then we said goodbye and went home.
Then we had pizza.  It was a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
